Inés Inspirations

Inés Inspirations is a little stationary company born from necessity. Here is our story:

Geneva was homeschooled from 6th grade upwards and part of the curriculum was handwriting. To keep things interesting, she wrote a scripture every morning in watercolor brush lettering. She was already very interested in painting portraits in watercolor so brush lettering was a natural next step. When her cousin was getting married, she painted her a sweet brush lettered scripture with a wreath of watercolor flowers and leaves as a gift. 

That was in 2019, now fast forward a year and the world was in the middle of a global pandemic. Although homeschooled, many of the school outings, play dates and family gatherings came slowly to a halt. Not to mention she was fast approaching 16 and wanted a part time job. She was learning to write in calligraphy and was sending artwork of scriptures to anyone she felt needed a little cheering up. It was healing to think of others during this difficult time. As word got around to family and friends, many started to order custom pieces of artwork from her.  She had work and could do what she loved, which was calligraphy and watercolor. Those early days were such a nice start to her business.

Geneva started a website, rented a small space in a local shop for her artwork and participated in Facebook groups specifically for small businesses. Since beginning her business, she has also completed a watercolor class, calligraphy class, adobe certification and is finishing a digital marketing certificate.

And now, Inés Inspirations has grown up and become a greeting card shop selling prints of her beautiful artwork. She is now working together with her mom (administration), dad (IT ) and brother (Help desk)
